The water pools in Wadi Bani Khalid are one of the main tourist destinations in the Sultanate of Oman, attracting tourists throughout the year. They are known for their attractive tourist features that appeal to visitors from inside and outside the country. The village of “Maqal” is considered the top tourist attraction in the region due to the presence of water pools throughout the year, distributed along the valley. Additionally, the “Maqal” cave, located at the upper tributaries of the water pools in Wadi Bani Khalid, is a small water-filled cavity that is difficult to enter, with its entrance approximately a 30-minute walk on foot.
